The Ideal Ruff Weather door is a plastic framed pet door with dual clear vinyl flaps. Increasing the distance between the flaps provides more insulating dead air space. Ideal accomplished this by manufacturing a thick plastic frame. The frame protrudes from the door it is mounted on by about 2
½
inches on the inside and 2
½
inches on the outside. The flaps are mounted at the outermost part of the frame. This creates about 7 inches of dead air space in between the flaps when it is installed in a regular door.
