The wood used on this flute is significant in that it was originally owned by Joseph Firecrow (Northern Cheyenne flutist and flute maker, and recipient of many NAMA awards and a Grammy nomination). The wood is aged California redwood, the bore is 7/8", and the length is approximately 21 inches. Handcarved cedar hummingbird fetish, with hand burned hummingbirds engraved on flute body. Interior has been coated with butcher block finish, outside finished with beeswax and orange oil to give it a matte finish. Key of Low E minor pentatonic scale.
