Congratulations!!You are viewing a wonderful 1860's civil war period ladies' zouave jacket and skirt. This outfit is a size 12 and fits the lovely lady with Bust 34 and Waist 26.5. There is some wiggle room (1-4") in the bodice and skirt waistbands of these patterns. As period sizing is different than today's sizing, we want to be sure you get the right size the first time! If we don't have the color / style or size you need, we do special orders! This dress is made from a period pattern - photo copies of the originals. This dress is made from a top quality 100% linen and the bodice and sleeves are fully lined (lining fabrics vary). A fully lined bodice and sleeves gives the dress an extraordinary strength and a much better look - and it should wear like iron. The second layer of fabric is not hotter in the summer, actually, it will get the perspiration away from the body and it will not show as much from the outside of the garment. The liner also serves well as winter insulation. This skirt can be hemmed to approx 49" from the waist. This dress has a extra fullness and a bottom sweep of 120" and works well with either the 3 or 4 bone hoop.
